Perspective Design is a web design consultancy based in Louth. Last year they took the decision to specialise in creating eCommerce websites that not only allow their clients to sell products and services from the websites they create, but that allow significant growth for the business. The brief was to completely redesign their existing logo incorporating an icon aspect to the logo, to make it more memorable and signal the businesses new shift in focus.
I wanted to incorporate the company initials in some way into the icon to form the basis of the logo. This would help to form a robust identity that integrated tightly with the company name making it instantly recognisable even when viewed alone. The icon is made up of a spiral surrounded by a hexagonal box. The spiral, a symbol of exponential growth, forms a ‘p’ representing perspective design and also an eye, tilted to 90 degrees. The whole icon was reflects the ideas of growth, looking at problems from different angles and also solving problems with ideas that are ‘outside of the box’.
Once designed, I was then asked to use the logo together with a newly eneregised colour scheme to create a promotional brochure and business cards for the team that would tie in closely with the new website.
