Happy Go Chutney

Happy-Go-Chutney is a start-up cottage industry creating homemade jarred traditional chutneys with a ‘naughty but nice’ ethos. The main target market was identified as the ‘grey’ market, primarily women over 60’s that acknowledge the importance of locally, sourced ingredients and can identify with the process and care taken to produce them.

Being based just outside Lincoln, it felt right to incorporate the cathedral into the design centring the brand around the mischievous, Lincoln Imp with the angel looking on from above. This contrast in characters tied in well with the ‘naughty but nice’ attitude but also neatly referenced the location and the local pride it evokes.

Happy Go Chutney wanted a logo that complimented their name, reinforced their ethos and outline their commitment to only using natural, locally sourced ingredients.
